Abby's Kitchen Orchard Preserves are made using the finest Ohio orchard fruits, grown in North East Ohio. These preserves are made in small batches, cooking only fruit and sugar to the desired consistency. There are no artificial colors, flavors, thickeners, or added pectin. Each jar contains about 1/2 # of fruit and the ration of fruit to sugar per jar is about 2:1.
Lisa Battista began making jam about 10 years ago when Rosby Berry Farm in Brooklyn Heights had to quickly bring in berries before a hard frost hit. Lisa has been developing Abby's Kitchen for the past few years in her spare time. "My passion is to go on fruit finding adventures, discover the best seasonal fruit and attempt to "extend the season" by preserving these delicious fruits." The product line includes traditional flavors such as red raspberry, blueberry, blackberry, tart cherry, and more. The goal of preserving is to capture the special inherent quality of the fruit, like the spicieness of a tart cherry and the perfume of a black raspberry. Depending on the season you will find seasonal favorites such as Strawberry Rhubarb, Peach with Ginger, and Holiday Conserve.

CCFPC Forum: "City Kitchens: Dreaming Up, Building Out, and Sharing the Spaces that Grow our Local Food Entrepreneurs"
You're invited to attend the next Cleveland-Cuyahoga County Food Policy Coalitions forum, “City Kitchens: dreaming up, building out and sharing the spaces that grow our local food entrepreneurs,” on May 21st at 5:30pm in the Great Lakes Brewing Company’s Tasting Room.
Commercially licensed and affordable kitchen space is a great need among Cleveland community members and food businesses. During Mayor Jackson's first Sustainable Cleveland 2019 Summit, a community kitchen working group began to conceptualize plans to bring a shared commercial kitchen facility to Cleveland. We are excited to share what we’ve learned though our research, engagement and discuss existing kitchen projects that will continue the cause of increasing access to licensed and affordable kitchen space in Cleveland.
Kitchen Project Panelists:
- Cleveland Crops Innovation Kitchen
- Cleveland Culinary Launch and Kitchen
- CornUcopia Place and Bridgeport Café
- Hildebrandt Food Truck Commissary
This is a free event however registration is required. Please register here. This event will include light appetizers generously provided by Great Lakes Brewing Company as well as a cash bar.
