Nicole Tuzzio, raw chef at The Root Cafe in Lakewood will host today's free cooking class at Old Stone Church. The Root Cafe is a vegetarian cafe, bakery and coffee shop with a menu that incorporates local and organic ingredients whenever possible. You can find Nicole every Thursday, 5:00-9:00pm, preparing a delicious raw menu for The Root's weekly Raw Food Night. About Cleveland Cooks
A monthly cooking series providing hands-on demonstrations from area chefs. Classes are free and open to the public and include a guided market tour, hands-on instruction in meal preparation and tips on how to grow produce easily at home. Cleveland Cooks was made possible thanks to a grant from Neighborhood Connections and space generously donated by Old Stone Church. THIS WEEKEND: Local Food Ignite Talks at Ingenuity FestivalFriday, 7-8pm: Local Food Ignite Talks: Organized by the City of Cleveland Office of Sustainability, 10 local food champions will speak about their ideas and personal or professional passions, accompanied by 20 slides. Each slide will be displayed for 15 seconds, and slides will automatically advance. Feed your mind with 10 presenters in under an hour!
