EcoWatch and Waterkeeper Alliance will announce the launch of their news service website and celebrate the Cuyahoga River's role in the birth of the grassroots environmental movement and passage of the Clean Water Act.
The event will feature brief remarks from Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson, George Gund Foundation’s senior program officer for the environment John Mitterholzer and Cleveland Foundation’s program officer Nelson Beckford, with Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., founder and president of Waterkeeper Alliance, as the keynote speaker.
