Loyal Market-Goers:
I know we've promised the Transylvania Baker's presence at the Broadway Market for the last few weeks -- but both Mondays, some last-minute hitches have kept him from being able to attend. This week, however, he assures us that he will be there with bushels of old-world Hungarian-style bread for you all!
For today's market, not only will our local baker join the ranks, but an expansive spice vendor--Spice Hound--is also making a visit. Spice Hound, who will come to Broadway once a month, offers a massive selection of individually bagged spices, each priced at $1 (saffron is $5 for a half gram).
Por-Bar Farms is also sponsoring this week's raffle: a new salad spinner (with a bonus bag of farm-grown salad greens)! Remember, with each purchase you make, you receive one raffle ticket for entry into the week's drawing.
For those who use Food Stamps benefits, we want to remind you (and anyone you know -- spread the word!) that using your card for $5.00 or more automatically gives you an extra $5.00 to use at the market. The Food Stamps EBT Incentive Program is a wonderful project sponsored by the Cleveland-Cuyahoga County Food Policy Coalition (and funded diversely).
This week's vendors:
Por-Bar Farms (Medina County)
Green Corps Learning Farms (Slavic Village and other Cleveland locations)
Transylvania Baker (Slavic Village)
Shipley's Coffee House (Slavic Village)
Plant Kingdom (Akron)

See you today,
-Emelio
P.S. Remember to bring your Ohio Proud passports... and if you don't know what I'm talking about, visit the Market Manager's tent to find out!
